Shae is up there with Buffy and Vin as my favt female character. He is my 2nd favourite character of all time after Elliot Alderson(Mr.Robot) and current favourite fantasy character alongside Dalinar(Stormlight Archive). He is an alpha chad,larger than life,reckless,charismatic but is also given lot of sensitive depth which was oh so compelling. Hilo in particular, he made me feel so many different things.
Hilo,Lan,Shae,Anden all are top tier characters. The character development is probably the best I have seen. It was a journey seeing our character grow and change. Our characters aren't necessarily the good ones,they are just part of this war,they make bad or reckless decisions at times,mistakes which cost them but you still endup loving them all,atleast I did. The tone and stakes are on point.įonda Lee spends the right amount of time in our characters head making us understand the characters in a very deep level,making us emotionally care about this characters. Our side isn't necessarily the right side which makes it even more gripping. If your are someone who like long discussions among our characters trying to figure out motivations of opponents, this is for you. The characterisation and family dynamic is extremely well written,the complex plot is driven by character decisions which are so natural and understandable which mingle so well with the business, poltics and clan dynamics.
It was beautiful but also ugly,epic but also intimate,heart wrenching but also wholesome.
Its God Father like but tons better,centered around mafia clans and families,with younger generation taking over the old one. Greenbone Saga wasn't something I thought I would enjoy at first but ended up being a series like none other.
